My misapprehension and naïveté about (the same) graduate school was that the history of Christianity could keep me separate from the stain of apologetics. But alas, it is difficult to see from the ante-graduate perspective how the architecture of the field was conceived for the purpose building defenses. I didn’t know what I didn’t know, for sure.
