My initial reaction was to wonder why you put the reading of books under the sign of mystery. In some sense, books, in their boundedness, are exactly what we can aspire to understand (as opposed to the non-textual world, or the internet's nearly infinite webwork of texts). But perhaps the place where the mystery comes in, is precisely that, even so, we don't understand them! Or at any rate, we come back to them again and again, and our understanding changes...
